Directions to the Meeting

This meeting will explore the most interesting ways to move the camera, look at exciting footage, and hear from specialists about the logistics and costs of including dollies, cranes, jibs, etc. in your productions.
Veteran Steadicam operator Tom Upton will bring his rig so you'll get a chance to see a Steadicam in action. You'll also see footage of compelling camera moves, and learn how they were done and why the director thought the move was worth the expense.

In short, we'll explore the world of the moving camera. Because most of the people we want to talk with and demo their wares are unable to give a firm commitment until right before the event, the exact line up of gear and directorial talent will be in flux up to the last minute. Check your email for late breaking details.

Additional Information

In the meantime, since I have the space, I'd like to remind everyone that no matter what your station in the exciting world of media production, you have an open invitation to develop new contacts, network with folks who may turn into lasting career-building contacts, and have an opportunity to explore virtually any topic in the world of video, film, broadcasting, multimedia and the Internet.

We are looking for new people to join our "board." All that's required is a sincere interest and a willingness to get together once a month to discuss what's going on in the business, put stamps on this newsletter, and figure out who will contact all the interesting professionals we invite to come and enlighten us. Those who volunteer will also find a few secret perks waiting. (Membership has its rewards.)

If you're interested please give me a call at Newton Gravity Shift, 609-818-0025 x146 or email me a akienzle@newtongravity.com.

Important Note: I have tickets to the Philly MCA-I season wrap party dinner and concert with Philly Rock Legend Ken Kweeder June 19 at the ARTISTS @ WORK studios, 828 North 2nd Street in Philly. Only $25.00 if purchased before June 12.

Also plan to be at the PMCA baseball outing in special picnic area of the Thunder Stadium in Trenton.
