MPEG-4 is the next generation video streaming format. It's also an
interactive streaming format put interactive objects in streaming video.
Plus, it works better over lower bandwidth connections but can be scaled up
to provide very high quality over high bandwidth. In short, MPEG-4 may be
the next big thing in video. This meeting will cover many different aspects
of the technology so you'll have a complete primer.

The content host and sponsor of the meeting is Bruce MacLelland, President and CEO of Applied Video Technology, Inc. in King of Prussia, PA. Bruce will deliver an overview presentation of the technology to lay the ground work for the three distinguished experts who will present. (20 min.)

Don Lenihan, Application Sales Manager, for Envivio, will discuss the new Envivio MPEG 4 encoders, broadcast servers, and network management tools. Recently Envivio has supplied MPEG 4 encoding systems to SAP for streaming training classes, CitiBank Saloman Smith Barney for streaming morning call financial reports, and Airia for streaming live TV (news and sports) to commercial airlines. Don will demonstrate and relate the latest MPEG 4 technology to these practical applications. (30 min)

Michael Hoehl, IT-AV Integration Manager at Applied Video Technology, will focus on applications such as Video on Demand and Live Video Streaming. He will review integration and support for issues such as bandwidth management, multicast and unicast routing, firewalls and other issues to consider for successful streaming video implementation. Michael will also review technology that will allow streaming video and power point graphics to be integrated as a streaming communications tool. (30 min)

Sam Agin, Network Product Specialist, JVC Corporation, will review new JVC video products and emerging streaming applications using the MPEG 4 file format directly from camcorders and VCR's, greatly simplifying the streaming process. (30 min)

This is a meeting filled with excellent content that you might expect to pay
much, much more to hear at an industry conference.
