Denis Flynn, Development Executive from Apple Computer, New York will be our presenter and give us a step-by-step demo of Apple's Final Cut Pro 3. Advertised by Apple as a $50,000 editing tool for 2% of the cost. In an upgrade cycle that surprised the industry, Apple released FCP3 just 9 months after upgrading the original FCP. Designed to run on either Mac OS 9 or OS X, FCP3 has some impressive features that make it worth taking a look at. Is it right for you?

The newest features include:
Real-Time Effects (What exactly are they and what hardware do you need to make them work?)
Offline RT (Imagine being able to input 40 minutes of DV video and use just 1 gig of storage-the new G4 laptops come with a 48 gig hard drive) Real-Time Color Correction.

Other goodies include a voice-over tool that allows you to lay in a scratch track directly on the timeline using the built-in microphone, improved titling, support for DV, SD and HD and many more that Denis will cover.

There is also tighter integration with DVD Studio Pro, Apple's DVD authoring tool, which Denis will also talk about.
