Princeton Media Communications Association DECEMBER 2001 MEETING"16x9 Now!" Date: Thursday,
December 13 Additional Information -- Directions to the Meeting Admission: Free for Princeton Chapter members "16x9 is not the next big thing - it's here, now! In fact, 4x3 is soooo twentieth century that Ikegami no longer offers a "4x3 only" format camera; all cameras are switchable. This meeting will feature a panel of representatives of the major camera equipment manufacturers, Sony, JVC, Panasonic, and Ikegami discussing the shift to 16x9 format in video and multimedia production, and the ramifications for our industry, from flat panel screens to projection to NLE. Each rep will bring along a 16x9 camcorder or two for the audience to peruse, and demonstration footage of 16x9 in use, today. From standard definition DV to high end HD, you'll see the results in our studio set-up, and shoulder the new generation of digital acquisition instruments. Come discover new ways to produce 16x9 for clients with new needs and expectations." For more information on this meeting, upcoming MIP events and how to take part of the
